Laughing and Talking!

Ava loves to talk.  We noticed last night that her language skills are getting so strong.  She has started babbling in a way that it really sounds like she is talking to us.  Exciting.  Here's a cute video of her laughing and talking that I took yesterday.  She's such a peach!

Cousins

I was just looking at pictures of our wedding, and I am just blown away by how much Ava and Calea look alike.  Calea was 6 months old at our wedding....same age as Ava now.  Check out the pictures of Calea.

Eating = Mess

Just the other day Ava started trying to help us when we feed her.  We spoon food into her mouth, she spits out a little, and then she uses her hand to push it back in her mouth.  Then she finger paints with it on her clothes, her hair, her chair and anything else she can touch.  Her face, body, hair and hands get so messy.  Barkley the dog sure likes this new development, he makes sure he is on hand to give Ava a hand cleaning up.  (Pun intended).

Ava seems to have picked up a cold over the past couple days.  (Blah!) So with her runny nose she keeps curling her nose and breathing in and out fast (sucking the boogers in and out)  Some think it's really cute...but really bums me out because she has a runny nose. 

Family trip to Steamboat

We went to Steamboat with my family over Labor Day weekend. We had a blast. Stayed in a gorgeous 4 bedroom 4 bath condo at Trappeur's Crossing! We enjoyed some fishing (Grandma Andrews watched Ava) and we also enjoyed some swimming! Our girl is quite the little fish!

5 months old!

Ava is 5 months old today! She loves to turn over and play on her belly.













PS. Yes, I know she is close to the edge of the bed. Mama was right there the whole time. :)

I am not sure why....but Ava always has such a serious/game face on when she is wearing her Broncos gear. :)

Ava loves to dance!

Ava really loves music. When she hears music or if someone is singing she gets her groove on! When she gets old enough, we will have to sign her up for dance classes!

First Broncos game

We LOVE the Broncos. Ava watched her first Broncos game with Mom and Dad.
She had her Broncos jersey on...and her game face on....so serious. So you know, her dad bought her the pink Broncos jersey. My pick would have been an old school Orange Crush or a Elway jersey....just sayin. Thank goodness for her Aunts Amanda and Lindsey who bought her a couple Broncos shirts....that were NOT pink. Ha. She will wear them for the next game.
